NudgePilot

Set up NudgePilot for WooCommerce

NudgePilot shows shoppers who seem unsure one short message with your own shipping or returns terms, or a quick comparison of products they looked at, and measures whether it helps your sales. Setup takes a few minutes.

Before you start

1. Install and connect

2. Add your shipping details

3. Choose how shoppers are asked for consent

NudgePilot uses a random visit number in the shopper's browser, so in the EU and UK it needs the shopper's consent.

Settings › Privacy also has wording you can copy into your privacy policy (it's in WordPress's Settings › Privacy › Policy Guide too).

4. Turn it on

On Home, switch on Show messages. From now on, each visit is put at random into one of three groups (no message, a simple rule, or Smart timing), so Results can show whether the message helps.

Where messages appear

Returns and product comparison

On every plan you can also show your returns terms (Messages › Returns, linking to your returns page) and a short comparison of products a shopper viewed in the same category, with up to three product attributes you choose (Messages › Product comparison).

Results

Results compares sales in the three groups: visits, checkouts, purchases and sales per visit. A sale counts when an order is paid within 24 hours of the shopper starting checkout. Give it a few weeks: NudgePilot tells you when there's enough data to be confident.

Page caches, speed and security

Staging copies and moving your site

If a copy of your site answers at another address (a staging site, or after a move), NudgePilot pauses there, so the copy can't mix into your live store's results. WooCommerce › NudgePilot explains what to do: connect the new address, or remove the connection from the copy.
